Harold Steed had 3 paintings in his office at the Clearfield Bank that were given to him as he retired. Two are by Lechmann and in value meticulous technique. The one of the girl standing in a drying aging field with chickens in the foreground who have no coop and so roost in dead trees recalls Giorgio De Chinieo with his ominous shadows. The other, of the fences that lead the cattle to the cars and then to the slaughterhouse is also haunting and sad. The essive brush strokes and detailing is exact and mciles. Pam thinks the bank decorator picked them out and not him. (it was in his office) The bison in the snow (Jim Taylor) was likely also picked out by someone else, but he would have to have chosen these options. Why? or did he ever care?

I had no idea these came from Clearfield Bank, love learning about them!
