My grandmother Lettie recalls her fear as a small child when Indians came in the store (~1886) upset about something but her mother Ellen was able to calm them. (to be given to Steve).

This was so fun to play with as a child, turning the grinders as fast as you could then releasing them and watching them spin. I didn’t realize it was a grinder until I put a small wooden bear ornament inside…
